Hi! My name is Rocío. First, thank you for taking a few minutes to get to know me better 🙃
I was born in Mar del Plata, a coastal city located in Argentina. From a young age, I always enjoyed activities related to art. I studied Graphic Design at the Martin A. Malharro School of Visual Arts.
I am proactive, methodical, and curious. I strongly believe in the "learn by doing" lifestyle. I work with and for people, seeking to improve communication and everything design touches.
I am a UX/UI/ID and Graphic Designer with more than 7 years of experience living in Spain.
My goal as a professional is to design enjoyable, cutting-edge, and successful experiences, using a user-centered design approach, attractive interfaces, and impactful visual design to create unique and accessible products and services. I am passionate about design systems.
Currently, I'm working as Senior UI and Interaction Designer as a freelance for DMI Company. Right now, I'm part of LHR Heathrow app project. I used to collaborate with the +35 people team on web and app projects for ArtBasel.
I worked remotely for clients from the United States and Europe at On The User, a design agency located in Andorra. I was responsible for designing brands, websites, and apps, from ideation to execution, design system audits, and making improvements.
I worked as Design Manager at The GreenLine Market, a US-based e-commerce platform for eco-friendly products, from almost the beginning of the project. I also lead a small team in the Digital Marketing department. (A case study will be available soon.)
I conducted Design Thinking workshops for teachers and students at the Martin A. Malharro School of Visual Arts. This helped to introduce them to the methodology and improve as a public educational institution. It was a wonderful opportunity to thank and give back to those who opened the doors for me in the world of design in my hometown.
During this time, I took several courses and masterclasses related to UX/UI with the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) and Memorisely, and participate in the design digital product program capacitation dictated by Globant to improve my work and knowledge.
While I was doing a Master's in Digital Marketing in Madrid I worked as a Designer and learned how to become a facilitator in Design Thinking and Agile at Thinkers Co. I worked on projects for companies such as Thales Alenia Space, Prosegur, Repsol, MSD, and Siemens.
At the same time, I have always worked as a freelancer, collaborating whenever possible with different clients on projects related to branding, web design, app development, and communication pieces.
